INDOORS
The styling and floristry can bring any venue to life and really create the wow factor. I have a reliable and experienced team of suppliers that I highly recommend to ensure the smooth running of your event. The different venues that I work with have varied facilities which help to accommodate the number of guests, depending on the time of year. Having an indoor space as an option is always wise, whether it's to get out of the hot sun or to guarantee your special day is not hindered by bad weather.
OUTDOORS
Couples often like to take advantage of the good weather we have here in France, varying from eating in the ruined orangery, the meadow, the woods or the rose garden. The grounds of all the chateaux I work with are truly stunning and will take your breath away! Using seasonal flowers and greenery to decorate your outdoor space for the ceremony, drinks reception and dinner will elevate your experience, so you can enjoy the balmy sunshine and the natural beauty of your surroundings. As the sun goes down and the stars come out, seeing the chateaux lit up will bring your day to a perfect end!
MAGIC PLACES
Each châteaux I work with is magical in its own right, with natural beauty and idyllic grounds. From the courtyards designed with topiary to the rose gardens or wild flower meadows, and moats or lakes that bring a peaceful presence of gentle running water to the ambiance. I can help you design your event to embrace these wonderful aspects of French chateaux life to wow your guests and truly make your fairytale a reality.
The Chateau de Bourneau is the perfect venue. It is situated near Fontenay le Comte in the south Vendee. There are airports in Nantes, La Rochelle and Poitiers each about an hour away that you can fly to from all over the uk. It is also not far from the motorway making it easily accessible from the ports, st malo being the closest, caen and Cherbourg are also a reasonable distance. The maximum capacity is 100 guests. The property offers accommodation for 50 people but if your group needs extra accommodation there are many gîtes in the area.
There are both indoor and outdoor spaces that will be available to you as well as tables and chairs for the event itself.
My family and I have lived in France for 17 years. It’s a wonderful place and I love the beautiful countryside and fantastic weather the Vendee has to offer. I enjoy meeting new people and have worked in hospitality for many years having had a holiday experience company working with professionals in their field to create unique weekend packages to enjoy in intimate sized groups and fabulous venues in the region. I think planning my own wedding really helped me to understand the amount of work that goes into a weekend event, especially in a foreign country.
